How this is calculated
Perimeter = 2 × (room length + room width), or enter the total run directly.
Net run = perimeter − door widths (for openings without skirting).
Boards needed = net run ÷ board length × (1 + wastage ÷ 100), rounded up.
Standard MDF or timber skirting is often sold in 2.4 m (8 ft) lengths.
